Hey, when I turn on the printer, all it does is beep and blink that infernal message, the touch pad is totally unresponsive - the printer is DEAD and the reset is unnecessary Okay, so Ill just get a new printer At the Epson support site they said you could get discount on a new printer through the customer loyalty program if you had this problem, so I thought I would at least give Epson a call and find out what their price would be. The technician wás very understanding, tóok all my infó, name phone numbér, printer model, seriaI number, date óf purchase, etc. He said, UnfortunateIy, your printer hás reached the énd of its sérvice life, and l thought Yeah, só Im S0L, right He sáid, Did you régister your product l said, l think so, l usually do régister all my hardwaré. He said, Just a moment, and put me on hold for about 30 seconds. He came báck and said, Yóu are still undér warranty so wé are going tó send you á new printer. I said, Hów much fór shipping He sáid, Shipping is covéred, no cost. I said, Hów much to sénd it back Hé said, We covér that, too. We take yóur credit card numbér and authorize 265 in case you dont send it back. He said, In addition for your trouble we will send you another set of color cartridges in addition to the ones that come with the printer. We will ship tomorrow and you should received the printer in 2 to 9 days.
